Top issues during term (6)(General)
Disaster Case Management Program Transition to County Control
Over $10 million in mental health funding exists in the proposed Program Budget.
Neighborhood connectivity and cul-de-sacs
Acquiring cul-de-sac parcels would carry county cost, listed as 'to be determined' in Action 1.15.
The Independent Nomination Board experiment
The department runs grant programs and contracts serving unhoused residents; Willis said she'd review contract accountability and pursue a 2027 budget with a fee-study request still pending in Planning.
Komohana Hale Apartments Rebuild
$2 million in insurance proceeds committed to rebuilding affordable rentals.
county office closures
Probably no direct hit to your wallet, but if you needed to pay a bill or grab a permit Monday, you’ll have to burn time later.
holiday closures
The financial impact is basically nil—just a one-day pause on county transactions, not a budget hit.
